Why are edges Important in photography?
- Edges are important because they emphasise mood the way you choose to angle the objects is determined on the photographers emotions.
- Having edges in an image helps make the image more interesting.
- It makes it more unique.
- you'll need a centre focus so you need to have edges so they don't get drawn from the center of the image .
- To avoid tilting in the camera.
- They are important because it gives you a border , so you only have one ''square'' to look at and not having to look around with your eyes because it just focuses on one spot .
- It gives a view of the things people see.
- Put more emphasis on the subject.
Edges
Edges Take 2
This is are second time doing edges photos and I really in joyed it this time. I think that what went well was are ideas we done this every diffently . My favioute images were the one were we were standing inbetween the blocks and throwning leaves up in the air. But we also decided to do the same thing but with watering it took a couple of attempts but every picture we took came out as planned or even better. However this session in photography I understood the whole process and time it took

paper edges
In the last photography lession we had 1 hour to draw the picture at the top . we had to draw the out line and then added detail . But we were not aloud to use any type of rubber and ruler just a pencil ,we really had to focus and observer the image and take what we see and draw it . I had observed it for about 5 minutes and then started to do the outline , I found it challenging but I like drawing so it wasn't as hard as it could have been . however after looking at it for a long period of time the image starts to play with my mind in a way.
paper edges photo shoot
In this task we used just a folded up piece of paper we learnd about composition making the edges seem interesting . we use a artificial light ,natural light and then a mixture between natural and artificial . We made a simple paper look more complexed and into a more interesting work . however we were also practicing close ups , so we were looking more at the focuse of the image and not whats around it . I actually in joyed todays session because its really different and I makes you question how the photographer done it and where they done it. I would do something like this again .

Edges assessment
I started of with a background image . I would have to take my sculpture and place it onto of the background image . To make it look bigger than it actually was .
To add the picture onto the background you would have to go onto photoshop and drag the image onto the background. To do that you would have to cut your sculpture out and drag it onto the background.
This is how it turned out of me because once I had finished I adjusted it and edited it to the size I wanted in the end to make it look realistic.
Robert Frank and Lonrenzo Vitturi
similarites
They both have a meaning towards it.
Both have an object that they are taking a picture of .
Differences
The Lorenzo Vitturi photography has a main subject in focus.
The Robert Frank image is in black and white with writing , where as the Lorenzo Vitturi image is colourful and abstract.
Paragraphy 1 : Robert Frank
Looking at the Robert Frank photography I first thought it was just a dark scene from a horror movie, but looking at it again it looks like a bathroom with a "last message" on the mirror. theres a little too dummy just standing in front of the mirror by its self. which shows signs of a loneliness and emptiness.
The way the mirror is really broken and scratched up makes me feel as if this is all as all inside of someones head . What I noticed in the picture was the person not showing there face at all and maybe they see themselves as the dummy with a big smile on there face.
Paragraphy 1 : Lorezo Vitturi
This is a very unusual piece of art , then photographed in an unusual way . This is more of a joyful themed image where as the other one was dark, gloomy and depressing .
Paragraphy 2: Robert Frank and Lorenzo Vitturi
I think these images go well together in a strange way because it shows you how life is , dark and maybe depressing but you will see the light and turn something difficult into something intreating for everybody in a way. I think to make the Robert Frank image the image the photographer or whoever made it was just being honest in what they where feeling and some anger was put into this, every little piece of exirment Lorenzo Vitturi image was used, even the bits to make it and I think thats what makes you look deeper into the picture of I bu, what makes this interesting for me is whats around it.
Paragraph 3 : Robert Frank
I’m the Robert Frank photo the different kind of edges in that photo was really sharp confidence lines , then squiggly lines and some rubbed out lines. The photographer had made these lines so sharp and messy you can see that a lot of anger within this person . If I could talk to the artist I would ask what was the meaning behind this image.
Paragraph 3 : Lorezo Vitturi
The kind of edges in this photo is the same as the Robert Frank one . Squiggly and curved edges . The photographer has made the image look kind of tropical, meaning the flowers looks like flowers in people’s hair and the round circles looking like the coconuts in the Caribbean. If I could talk to the photographer I would ask them what gave them this ideas .
Paragraph 4: Robert Frank
The title I would give this photo would be , gone but not forgotten, because this photo could be someone’s last message before killing them self’s and it’s not only the last message that makes me think this , but it’s also the little statue standing in front of the mirror, it’s alone. If I was in the image It would feel overwhelming for me because just walking into a room like that I’ll know things isn’t right . I think the artist/photographer made the image as a sign of emptiness and just feeling like there’s no way out of dark thoughts

I think this lay out came out better but I think what I would next time is cut it out so you can't see the white lines. But I didn't get to successfully show the shadowed image .
Once I finish my expedition edges I will be moving onto my own piece of edges , where I'll be making a piece of artwork to do with fashion , because hair and clothing all go together with fashion and I think that me choosing it will work for me because I would be taking pictures the light , shade close up .I'm thinking of doing a fashion theme of either pink, green, purple, blue, red and black. I don't know yet which colours I'm using for sure but I know yellow will be the main colour . Different backgrounds of people will be put into my whole fashion college .
